Gala FAQ's

  1. When is The Hyde Collection Gala?
    We look forward to hosting you as our guests here at The Hyde Collection Gala: Always in Style beginning at 7PM on Saturday, September 25. We will conclude the evening at 10:30PM.


  2. What can I expect from attending the Gala?
    You can expect wonderful food and drinks provided by Pomme de Terre CateringMohan’s Wine and LiquorAdirondack Winery, and Rabbit Hole Distillery. The food and drinks will be served at various stations, allowing you to move about the event space, try various delicious offerings, and mingle safely with old and new friends. You can expect to find a place to lounge with food and drink in various spaces across the outdoor campus. Tables are not assigned, though requests for table reservations are on a first come, first served basis. You can expect a brief program highlighting our mission and offering our gratitude to our guests of honor, Tom and Sally Hoy, and our gala co-chairs Charlene Wood and Jim Paratore. You can expect excellent live music brought to you by The Silver Arrow Band, we can’t wait to see you on the Adirondack Trust Company Studio 161 Dance Floor. You can expect to wear a mask upon entering the Museum to view galleries, bid on silent auction items, and use the restroom. Additional restrooms will be available in the outdoor event area.


  3. What is the dress code for the Gala?
    We are excited to see you in your glamorous 70s attire, if possible.  Please keep in mind, the event will be almost exclusively outdoors under a tent, on the grass, so please plan clothing and footwear choices accordingly!
    Don’t have anything vintage or 70s inspired? Don’t worry! Join us in your  beautiful and most vibrantly colored cocktail attire.


  4. Where will I park?
    CQ Valet Services will greet you in front of the main entrance, and will safely park your vehicle for you.


  5. What will I do at the gala?
    Aside from dining and dancing, there will be a silent auction, live auction, and our annual Raise-the-Paddle, where you and The Hyde Collection’s guests can show your support for our operations, exhibitions, programs, and the Reimagine Project, a series of improvements to the grounds and facilities that focus on improving accessibility and the overall visitor experience. Information on the Reimagine Project will be available at the event in the Butterfly Garden behind Hyde House. The Raise the Paddle portion of the evening is critical to our success.Our galleries will be open for you to enjoy, and entry to the Museum is included with your Gala ticket. Currently, we have the inspiration for the Gala, Summer Bomb Pop: Collections in Dialogue in the Wood Gallery, Georgia O’Keeffe’s Pattern of Leaves and Masterpieces & Mysteries in the Whitney-Renz and Hoopes Galleries, Finding St. Jerome and the latest John Van Alstine show, Reflecting on 2020 in the Feibes & Schmidt Gallery, and of course, historic Hyde House. We are requiring all guests to wear masks upon entry to the Museum. Masks will be available to you if needed.

  7. I  can’t make it to the Gala and I have to cancel. What do I do?
    Please email [email protected] to let us know that you won’t be joining us. We can help to convert your ticket purchase(s) to a donation in support of The Hyde Collection.

  9. I am a sponsor and am not sure we gave you our guest names, who do I contact?

  10. Do I need to wear a mask at the Gala?
    We are encouraging all unvaccinated guests to wear masks when you are not eating or drinking. While most of the Gala will take place outside, we are asking all guests to wear a mask while in any Hyde indoor space.
