Women Modernists

Women Modernists examines how Modernism breaks from traditions of the past to embrace abstraction and experimentation. Through willingness and flexibility to move between figuration and abstraction, artists such as Dorothy Dehner and Grace Hartigan communicate new ways of seeing and understanding the world around us. With influences as diverse as nature, the constructivist movement, and jazz, come see how women of the twentieth century looked to the future.

Selections from the Permanent Collection and Nova Southeastern University Art Museum, Fort Lauderdale are displayed in the Feibes & Schmitt Gallery.
