In this abridged, English-language version of Massenet’s enchanting fairy-tale opera stars beloved mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard as the rags-to-riches title princess, with Emmanuel Villaume on the podium. Charles Perrault’s classic telling of the Cinderella story is an excellent source for an opera—providing color, romance, and relatable themes for audiences of all ages.
