Hyde Reading Group | Venice: A New History

March 14 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Book: Venice: A New History by Thomas F. Madden

The city of Venice, with its grand canals, distinctive architecture, and romantic charm, has held a continuous allure for artists and travelers over the centuries. Renowned historian Thomas F. Madden shares compelling insights and highlights famous figures in Venice. The book is a monumental work of popular history that’s as opulent and entertaining as the great city itself. For this discussion we will focus on the later chapters of the book (14-19), from the Renaissance to modern day.

Join Hyde staff and volunteers for an in-gallery book discussion of the rich history and artistic allure of Venice.  There is a copy of the book at Crandall Public Library, and it can be purchased at Northshire Books in Saratoga Springs. To receive a 20 percent discount, request the book being held under The Hyde Reading Group.

Admission is free but space is limited; please register to guarantee a seat.
