ABOUT THE HOUSES

Bolton Beach House

Whoville has come to Bolton Landing for Christmas this year! Immerse yourself in a tangible, visual rendition of the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, featuring authentic memorabilia from the 2000 blockbuster at the Bolton Beach House. Check out the Grinch’s throne used in the scene where the town members overfed him delicious desserts while he sat atop it, along with the sweater he wore in that scene. As you tour this beautiful 5-bedroom house, take in more Whoville classics like the weeping Christmas tree and oversized ornaments sprinkled throughout. There might be a little visit from the Grinch himself. Don’t forget to stop at the Grinchbucks coffee bar to try the exclusive “Gifford grinch” Donuts.

Sagamore Golf House

This Christmas, we’ve selected a fitting “golf theme” for the Sagamore Golf House. The gorgeous Christmas tree is a must-see, with handmade decor made from golf balls and tees. Nearby, cast your gaze onto the massive farm table set for Christmas dinner with real putting grass and custom arrangements. We’ve decked the endless halls of this enormous home and invite you to wander through all of them, leading you to the various suites, nooks, and crannies. Some of your favorite surprises might be the actual movie theater playing “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Before you go, head to the 19th Hole Bar for a Classic Christmas cocktail as you sit in the home’s stone and reclaimed wood wine cellar. The location is spectacular any time of the year, but this Christmas experience is one you don’t want to miss.

Blue Hill Farm

As you approach the home, look toward the barn; you’ll see Santa there to greet you, inviting you to go inside! A country Christmas at Blue Hill Farm captures all the down-home character of the season, bringing it to life in more ways than one. Stop by the kitchen to visit Mrs. Claus, who is busy baking her famous sugar cookies for Santa’s big night. She hopes you’ll give a fresh batch a taste to ensure they are suitable for Christmas Eve. From the red and white buffalo check and gingham to the seasonal throw cushions, cozy snuggle blankets, and Christmas classics playing from an old-time record player, stroll around this classic country home, and we can guarantee you’ll be delighted at the holiday surprises Blue Hill beholds.

Indian Brook Lodge

The North Pole has been transported, and Santa works remotely from one of his favorite vacation spots, Indian Brook Lodge. You will see just how hard his job is when you visit his work desk, where a long list of who has been “naughty and nice” is rolled out next to his favorite picture of Mrs. Claus. You can also see how the Lodge is bursting with the Yuletide spirit in countless other ways by first paying a visit to the elves’ toy bench, where toy-making is well underway. Nearby they are busy hanging their elf stockings and laundry, leaving it to dry by the wood-burning stove. Visit the giant toy chest full of wrapped gifts ready to be loaded and delivered by the sleigh parked outside by the roaring brook. During your tour of Indian Brook, your senses will be delighted by the peppermint scent of the holiday season. Grab a complimentary Candy Cane Mimosa at the Tomahawk bar on your way out to the deck to take in the sweeping views of the beautiful lake.

Bell Point Estate

This Adirondack waterfront manor is the perfect backdrop for a rustic Lake George Christmas. The fresh balsam pine wreaths tied with bright festive bows, the birch wood seasonal arrangements on top of the stairs, and the vintage ice skates, skis, toboggan, and snowshoes help pull the Old-Fashioned Christmas feel together. Walking inside will stop you as you take in the awe-inspiring sight of the expansive interior featuring enormous stag antler chandeliers and a turn-of-the-century wooden canoe hanging from the ceiling sparkling with relics of the season. Wander around sipping your holiday spirit and take it all in – the formal Christmas dinner tablescape, the hand-knit woolen stockings hanging from the massive fieldstone fireplace, and the beautifully decorated Christmas tree.
