Art After Hours mixes art and entertainment every third Thursday of the month. Visit exhibitions, create art, and socialize with friends! Hyde Members and a guest are invited to join us for our Member Mixer on March 20 from 5 to 8 pm. Mingle with your fellow members, view the special exhibitions, and munch on light refreshments. Hyde members can also enjoy a 20% discount on Museum shop items! 

Join multimedia artist Millicent Young and musician Timothy Hill for a live performance of the installation artwork Sutra for Belonging, featured in the exhibition Cusp. Sutra for Belonging is a multimedia installation of projection and sound integrated with handmade sculpture. This transdisciplinary improvisational experience features vocalization, spoken word and instruments including guitar, lyre and tanpura, intertwined with Young’s installation in Wood Gallery. Following the performance the artists will participate in a talk-back with the audience.  

The artists featured in the exhibition Cusp, curated by Jen Dragon of Cross Contemporary Art Projects, work in media that never settle into any realm, on the cusp between painting, sculpture, installation, and poetry.
