SEPT 21 @ 5-8 PM  | Art After Hours: Paint Open Studio
The Museum is open until 8 pm for programs that mix art and entertainment every third Thursday of the month. Socialize with friends and enjoy something new each time, such as exhibition discussions, live music, and exclusive films!

SEPT 29 @ 2:30 PM  | Painting with Patrice: Fall Colors
Join artist Patrice Jarvis-Weber as we explore a landscape painting by Joseph Jeffers Dodge. In this class participants will receive step-by-step instruction in acrylic painting. ($45 / $35 members)

SEPT 30 @ 12-4 PM  | Autumn Landscape in Gouache & Pastels with Takeyce Walter
Join Takeyce for a 4-hour workshop, where we will review tools at our disposal to create beautiful mixed media autumn landscape paintings with gouache and pastels. ($75 / $65 members)

OCT 7 @ 11 AM  | Chasing Degas with Collector Robert Flynn Johnson
Robert Flynn Johnson, Curator Emeritus of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, will discuss his quest of over forty years to collect the works of Edgar Degas and to seek to understand the character and motivation of this complex master who transformed our way of looking at art. ($12 / Free for members)

OCT 26 @ 2 PM  | On Screen @ The Hyde: Titian: The Empire of Color
Titian was an extraordinary master of color and a brilliant entrepreneur, innovative both in a painting’s composition but also in how to sell it. ($20 / $18 members, students, and seniors)

OCT 28 @ 10 AM-1 PM  | Portrait Drawing with John Hampshire
Join artist John Hampshire to explore the art of portrait drawing. Participants will investigate portraits by Edgar Degas on view in the Museum and practice essential drawing techniques. ($55 / $45 members)
