Volunteer as a Museum Docent

Docents provide an invaluable service to The Hyde Collection and to the general public.

What is a Docent?

A docent is a volunteer educator who engages visitors to The Hyde Collection in discussion and exploration of the collection and special exhibitions. Docents lead tours throughout the year.

Become a Docent

Any adult who wants to share their enthusiasm for The Hyde Collection and who loves learning about art is eligible to become a docent. If you are interested in becoming a docent, please contact Jenny at 518-792-1761, ext. 327, or jhutchinson@hydecollection.org.
