Hyde open seven days a week for summer — July 8

GLENS FALLS, New York—The Hyde Collection will expand its hours throughout July and August.

Beginning July 15 and running through September 1, the Museum will be open seven days a week, including from 10 am to 5 pm Monday. Museum Mondays is sponsored by Hudson Headwaters Health Network. Hours for the rest of the week — 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 5 pm Sunday — remain the same.

Being open additional hours allows The Hyde more ways to meet the needs of visitors during the busy summer season.

“Offering hours every day throughout the summer gives community members and out-of-towners even greater opportunity to visit The Hyde and experience all we have to offer,” said Norman E. Dascher Jr., CEO of the Museum. “We know how quickly summers fly by, and we want to make sure everyone has the chance to see our incredible exhibitions and world-class art collection, take a class, or create something with the entire family.”

To make the most of Museum Mondays on the new-this-season second dark day at Saratoga Race Course, The Hyde teams with Albany Auto Group to offer a free shuttle service from The Adelphi Hotel in Saratoga Springs to the Glens Falls museum. The shuttle is provided courtesy of Albany Auto Group, which includes Albany Audi, BMW of South Albany, and Northway Toyota.

The shuttle will depart The Adelphi at 10 am and return from The Hyde at 12:30 pm, with a second departure at 1 pm returning at 3:30 pm every Monday from July 15 through August 26.

“The free shuttle service is a wonderful example of businesses collaborating to show visitors to this region the very best of what the greater Capital Region has to offer,” Dascher said.

The Hyde Collection is typically closed Monday, which is used as a day for the curatorial department to install and maintain artwork.
