The Hyde Collection offers pARTies for children!

Let The Hyde Collection be the venue for a unique and unforgettable birthday or celebration for your child.  The Museum provides parties in one of two themes: Time for Tea OR Castles, Kings, and Queens. The parties include a theme-related tour of the Museum, a "make & take" hands-on activity, and costume props.  *See below for important party details.

Time for Tea: Time for Tea is a high tea themed part.  Party-goers will first be given a tour (about 30 minutes) of historic Hyde House to get a sense of what life and entertaining was like during the time the house was built in 1912.  They will be brought back in time to discover the elements of history in the Hyde family's dining room, courtyard, and music room.  After the tour, the group will retire to the Louis P. Brown Art Studio for dress-up, "tea," cake, and more.  Guests will learn to make paper flowers to decorate the party table  -- and everyone will go home with their own bouquet!

Castles, Kings, and Queens: Castles, Kings, and Queens is a Renaissance-themed party.  Party-goers will be given a tour (about 30 minutes) of historic Hyde House to learn about the influences of Renaissance Europe through the architecture, paintings, and sculptures presented in the house.  After the tour, guests will retire to the Louis P. Brown Art Studio for dress-up, cake, and more.  Each guest will have an opportunity to make a jeweled crown to take home.

A reservation for a party date is a privilege of membership. The host must purchase or hold a current family membership.

• The cost per child is $10.00
• Parties are recommended for children 5 years and up
• Parties host up to 15 children and last up to two hours. Parents/Hosts must inform The Hyde Collection of any adults that may attend one week prior to the event.
• parties can be held on Saturday between 10am-5pm or Sunday between 12noon-5pm or during weekdays when scheduling permits. Please have at least two times/dates in mind when calling to make a reservation.
• Parents/Hosts supply invitations, cake, beverages, and goodie-bags (if desired)
• The Hyde Collection supplies the venue, tour and tour guide, hands-on activity supplies, dress-up components, and dry goods (ie: paper plates, cups, napkins, tablecloths, etc.)
