Hyde to hold 'Books & Posters By-the-Bag' Holiday Sale

The Hyde Collection announces its Museum Store holiday sale set for this weekend, December 11 – 13, 2009.

According to David F. Setford, executive director, the sale this year replaces the Museum’s Ladies Noel Night in order to expand both the offerings and the duration of the sale, allowing more shoppers to attend and take advantage of special pricing on art-related gifts.

Special sale items, including exhibition and art catalogues and pamphlets, prints, and postcards, will be on display in The Hyde’s Louis P. Brown Art Studio on the lower level of the Museum. Shoppers will purchase a bag for $7.50 in the Museum Store and will then be able to visit the Art Studio to fill the bag with the items of their choice. (Items such as small art prints and postcards will be limited to four per purchased bag. Sale does not include traditional holiday items.) Times of the sale are 10 AM to 4:30 PM Friday and Saturday; noon to 4:00 PM on Sunday. Sale attendees are invited to tour Hyde House and view the current American Impressionist landscape and Modernist exhibitions on the days of the sale, as well.

For additional information, contact the Museum Store at 518-792-1761 ext. 31.
