Glens Falls, NY - The importance of good corporate citizenship and its positive impact on this region's quality of life was the message Thomas Hoy, president of Glens Falls National Bank & Trust stressed to fellow business leaders after receiving the 2003 Hyde Corporate Leadership Award by The Hyde Collection on September 10, 2003. Presented at the Museum's 2nd annual Corporate Breakfast, the award recognizes Glens Falls National Bank for their long-standing commitment to the Museum's mission to preserve and cultivate the fine arts, which the local bank has demonstrated through decades of corporate membership, event and program sponsorships, and board participation. Financial and other support of the area's non-profit sector is not a choice but a responsibility for businesses, stated Hoy as he expressed great appreciation for the numerous cultural resources of the community.

In addition to Glens Falls National Bank, nearly ninety organizations were recognized at the event for their support over the past year. Hyde director of development Lynn Shanks states, The Hyde is thankful to the many businesses, like Glens Falls National Bank & Trust, that give generously, enabling the outstanding exhibitions and educational programs that contribute to the quality of life and economic vitality of the region.
