HYDE STAFF RECEIVES NATIONAL DESIGN AWARD
Glens Falls, NY – The Hyde Collection, Glens Falls, New York recently received notification from the editors of Graphic Design USA that the organization has been selected a winner of two 2006 American Inhouse Design Awards. The Hyde is recognized for the design of the Painting Lake George exhibition catalogue published to accompany the Museum’s 2005 summer exhibition Painting Lake George; and the Museum’s 2005 Cirque de Soireé gala invitation. The in-house design team responsible for the development of these projects are Stacey Mattison, communications manager and Amy Stevens, graphic designer. The authors of the exhibition catalogue are Erin B. Coe and Gwendolyn Owens.
According to the editors of Graphic Design USA, 3,500 entries were submitted of which less than one in five received recognition. The competition, sponsored by Graphic Design USA, "aims to assure that the outstanding work of inhouse designers and design teams is fully recognized by colleagues, the creative community and, importantly, corporate and institutional management," states the letter of recognition.
