The Hyde partners with Barnes & Noble

The Hyde Collection Art Museum and Historic House is partnering with Barnes & Noble to celebrate the importance of the arts in education.  On Sunday, October 14, 2012, the Museum will participate in a day-long book fair at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Saratoga Springs, with activities beginning 12noon through 5:00pm.

Throughout the month of October photographs documenting the creation of The Hyde Collection’s Door Project, a collaboration between The Hyde and students ages 13 – 20, will be on display in the Barnes and Noble Café. Teachers will enjoy a professional development session at 2:00pm with Hyde educators providing fun and effective ways to visual art in the classroom.  Families are invited to participate in fun Hyde and Seek children’s activities and all guests can help raise funds for the Museum by purchasing items at the store throughout the day. Bring a special book fair voucher (available at The Hyde’s Museum Store during open hours) or print out here.
