Glens Falls, NY – The Hyde Collection is pleased to announce the receipt of a GO! Grant of $500 to allow the Museum’s director of development to attend the American Museums Development Association’s (AMDA) 2004 conference in Los Angeles. The grant from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency, and administered by the Upstate History Alliance (UHA), will allow The Hyde’s director of development to interact with her peers, examine new ideas and approaches to development, discuss standards of excellence in the development field, investigate current trends in museum philanthropy, and compare the standards of The Hyde with other museums of similar stature.

The GO! Grants are one of a series of grants offered to help museums and historical societies strengthen and develop their institutions and work with their communities. These grants, administered by the Upstate History Alliance are designed to make it easy for organizations to access professional help and improve their institutions. To learn more about these grant programs, eligibility requirements and deadlines, visit UHA’s website at or contact Linda Norris at the Upstate History Alliance, by email at or by phone 1-800-895-1648.
