Hyde Receives Sponsors For Open Doors Program


Local Businesses Support Museum’s Free Admission

Glens Falls, NY – The Hyde Collection, Glens Falls, NY, announces sponsors of a new initiative dedicated to free admission. The Hyde is grateful to two local businesses whom are the first to sponsor the "Open Doors" program which was developed to highlight the importance of The Hyde’s free admission policy and to offset costs associated with the visitor’s experience. AngioDynamics, Inc. will support the the month of July and Adirondack Radiology Associates will sponsor the month of August, 2005. "Their support will certainly help ensure that Glens Falls and the greater Capital Region will continue to have free access to exceptional examples of artistic achievement, outstanding family and educational programming, and vital community, Adirondack, and New York State history," stated Randall Suffolk, director of the Museum.



The Hyde has been a free admission museum since it opened its doors to the public in 1963. Today, the average cost associated with each visitor to the Museum is approximately $34. While suggested donations are encouraged, the resulting income is far less than that needed to cover the actual costs with keeping the facility open and running smoothly.
