Glens Falls, NY – The Hyde Collection is pleased to announce the receipt of a $300 GO! Grant to allow a staff member of The Hyde Collection to attend the 2005 Museum Institute at Sagamore conference from September 27 through 30, 2005. The grant is from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency, and administered by the Upstate History Alliance (UHA). It will allow Lynn Shanks, director of development to interact with her peers, examine new ideas and approaches to development, discuss standards of excellence in the development field, investigate current trends in museum philanthropy, and compare the standards of The Hyde with other museums of similar stature.

The GO! Grants are one of a series of grants offered to help museums and historical societies strengthen and develop their institutions and work with their communities. These grants, administered by the Upstate History Alliance are designed to make it easy for organizations to access professional help and improve their institutions.
