HYDE APPOINTS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, MEMBERSHIP MANAGER
GLENS FALLS, NY – The Board of Trustees of The Hyde Collection has announced the appointment of Christine A. Dawson of Queensbury as Director of Development and Diane (Dede) F. Potter of Glens Falls as Membership Manager for the museum.
“These are exciting times at The Hyde,” said Bernard R. Brown, Chairperson of The Hyde’s Board of Trustees. “We are planning stimulating exhibits and programs that showcase The Hyde. Christine and Dede bring administrative experience and creativity that will be real assets to these initiatives.” He advised that, in a national search, The Hyde has attracted excellent candidates to serve as Director of the museum and will be interviewing finalists shortly.
Ms. Dawson, who will be responsible for planning and implementing all fund development activities and events for The Hyde, has background in nonprofit administration, development and program management, and as an artist. As Membership Manager, Ms. Potter will develop initiatives to expand and build new audiences, as well as serve museum members on an ongoing basis. A graduate of Miami University in Ohio, Ms. Potter previously was Donor Relations Manager for the Lake George Land Conservancy.
Noting the new initiatives and exhibits being planned by The Hyde, Board member Beth Saunders commented, “This is a great time for Christine and Dede to join us and apply their skill and enthusiasm.” Frank Pusateri, also a member of the Board, added, “Christine’s people skills will enhance the Hyde’s involvement in the community and Dede’s proven professional experience will be valuable in supporting and expanding our audiences.”
