COE HAILED MOST PROMISING AT LUNCHEON
Glens Falls, NY – On Thursday, May 4, 2006 Erin Coe, curator, The Hyde Collection was honored at The Business Review’s 6th Annual 40 Under Forty awards luncheon at the Crowne Plaza, Albany. Along with 39 other professionals from the Capital Region, Coe was hailed one of the most promising of the region and received the prestigious 40 Under Forty before eight hundred guests, co-workers and constituents. The winners were selected by a panel of business leaders from nearly 200 nominees for their exceptional leadership and contributions to their areas of business and community.
Coe has been curator at The Hyde Collection since 1999 and oversees the museum’s permanent collection and exhibition program. She has curated more than fourteen exhibitions at the Hyde including Painting Lake George, 1774-1900 (2005) and authored several publications and articles. Other professional contributions and accolades include: adjunct professor of art history at Adirondack Community College, Queensbury, NY; board member of the de Blasiis Chamber Music Series, Glens Falls, NY; former trustee of the Marcella Sembrich Opera Museum, Bolton Landing, NY; and former board member of the Lake George Arts Project, Lake George, NY. She was awarded the Upstate History Alliance Award of Merit in 2005 for the Hyde House Restoration Project; and attended the Attingham Summer School, London, UK for the Study of Architecture, Fine, and Decorative Arts as the Brunschwig & Fils scholar.
