Hyde After Dark at Warren Street Square

imageGlens Falls, NY – The Hyde Collection announces a twist to the first Hyde after Dark event of 2012. Usually held at the Museum, it will take place off-site on Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 5:30pm-8pm at Warren Street Square, 79 Warren Street, Glens Falls, New York. A renovated commercial building originally constructed in 1907, Warren Street Square has been transformed into modern Class A office /retail space and luxury apartments.

Hosted by Peter and Suzanne Hoffman, and Scott Murphy and Jen Hogan, this family-friendly Hyde After Dark event will feature live music by Cabin 3, appetizers by Aunt Sally’s Catering, tours of the renovated spaces, door prizes, and creative activities for adults and children. Brian Chevalier will provide interactive  music for all. Davidson Brothers Restaurant and Brewery is the Hyde After Dark Event Partner.

Tickets sold in advance are $20 for Hyde members; $25 for non-members. If you pay at the door, the ticket price is $30. Children ages 12 and under free with accompanying adult.  Advance reservations are encouraged. To purchase tickets or for more information, go to the Special Events page at www.hydecollection.org or call 518-792-1761, ext. 46.  A snow date is set for Thursday, February 23, 2012.   All proceeds from the event benefit The Hyde Collection.

The Hyde After Dark event at Warren Street Square and The Hyde’s first 2012 Wood Gallery exhibition, Building Futures: Re-envisioning The Hyde at Rensselaer, share architecture as a common theme; both celebrate historic structures located on Warren Street in the City of Glens Falls. While the Warren Street Square renovation project is now a reality, the Museum’s exhibition reveals, not necessarily the realities, but the possibilities of transforming the campus of The Hyde Collection. The exhibition runs from February 11 through April 15, 2012 and is organized by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture in collaboration with The Hyde Collection. Sponsored by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Shirley Ann Jackson, President. Supporting sponsor: 3DSystems3D models created on ZPrinters®.
