The Discovery Program
Each
month, The Hyde presents a new Discovery Guide designed for you and your
child to use in exploring special exhibitions or Hyde House. Examples of past
Discovery themes are: Animals in Art, Sculpture, Math in Art, Portraits, Rembrandt, All That Glitters is Gold, Architecture, The Art of Frames, The Italian Renaissance, Tapestries, and
more! Pick up your free Discovery Guide at the Program Desk anytime The Museum is open.
Discovery Day
A special Discovery Day is held at The Hyde on the third Sunday of each month. Families are invited to drop in between 1pm and 3pm. (Tours begin approximately every 15 minutes.) Each month's Discovery Day has a different theme, is designed for the whole family, and includes a guided tour with a hands-on art activity in our Louis P. Brown Art Studio. Changing themes encourage monthly visits and ensure that there is always something new to see and learn at The Hyde!
