Discovery Day
Second Sunday of each month. 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Perfect for family visits, participants will tour Wood and Hoopes Galleries or Hyde House with a museum educator and enjoy a hands-on activity in the Art Studio. Each month Discovery Day has a different theme so there is always something new to see and learn. Free.

Thursdays, 10:30 - 11:30 am or 3:30 - 4:30 pm
Ages 0 - 5 with adult companion
Something for adults, babies, and tots! Visit the collection or exhibitions with a museum educator followed by creative time in the Art Studio. Free. Call 518-792-1761, ext. 340 for information.
ARTfull Afternoons
Wednesdays. Drop-in between 1:30 - 4:30 pm. .
Ages 6 - 12, with adult companion
Each Wednesday children are invited to learn about a specific artist, work of art, or style from the Museum’s permanent collection. Children will explore a variety of artistic mediums as they create their own Hyde-inspired masterpiece. When you arrive, check in at the Admission Desk to receive a guide.Follow the guide as a family/group, and then join us in the Art Studio where you will create your own art! ARTfull Afternoons generally follows the Glens Falls School schedule. Free
Birthday pARTies
Ages 5+.
With the child’s age and interests in mind, Birthday pARTies include an I Spy tour or scavenger hunt in the museum and galleries followed by art activities in the studio, with time for cake and presents.
$10 per child for museum members, $15 per child for non-members

Open Studio
Tuesdays and Saturdays, June 18 - September 14
Tuesdays: 2 - 3:30pm
Saturdays: 10:30am - 12 noon
Informal art studio time for all ages. Adults may visit the exhibition and collection while children age 5 and up enjoy art activities. Children age 4 and under must have adult companion in the studio. Free.
