Tours for Tots and Baby Tots
Thursdays, 10:30 – 11:30 am
Specially designed program for ages 5 and under to explore the museum with an educator and enjoy creative time in the art studio. Free

Wednesdays, drop-in to the Art Studio between 1:30 – 4:30 pm
Ages 5 - 14, with adult companion. Drop in, take a self-guided tour and then come make themed art in the studio. The theme changes on a weekly basis. Free

With the child’s age and interests in mind, Birthday pARTies include an I Spy tour or scavenger hunt in the museum and galleries followed by art activities in the studio, with time for cake and presents.
$10 per child for museum members, $15 per child for non-members

Sunday, June 8: Art on the Outside
Tour the sculptures outside (or inside if it's raining) followed by sculpture building activities in the garden or art studio.
Sunday, July 13: Magical Mysteries
Enjoy family and adult tours of the exhibitions Larry Kagan: Lying Shadows and Emerging from the Shadows: Edward Hopper and His Contemporaries, make art out of light and shadow, enjoy some music and magic.
Sunday, August 10: Light in August
Family friendly tours of the exhibitions, plein air painting with visiting artists through the day (all materials provided) on the museum grounds, workshops and activities.
Sunday, September 14: Summer Shadows
Exhibition closing day family friendly tours of the summer exhibition followed by summer memory art making in the studio.
Sunday, October 12: The Apple of Your Eye
1pm - 3pm
Apples are everywhere! For picking, baking, and painting. Find the apples in the exhibition Picturing America and then enjoy cider and art making in the studio. Take home your own American still life painting of our favorite regional fruit. Tour and activity.
Sunday, November 9: Food on the Table - A Modern Thanksgiving Feast
See the food the artists put on the table in the exhibition Picturing America and then draw, collage or paint a scene of your favorite things to find on the table.
Sunday, December 14: Picturing the Holidays
Draw, paint or print unique holiday cards and decorations.
Children's Art Workshops
Tuesdays, October 7 through November 11, 2014
The Apprentice Workshop - Drawing and Painting
This six week program for ages 10 and up will reinforce basic drawing and painting skills using works in the exhibition Picturing America and the permanent collection.
Space is limited and registration is required by Friday, September 26, 2014.
$40 for members; $50 for non-members. All materials included.
Time: 3:30pm - 4:45pm
