Specially designed to enhance discussion about what children see when touring Hyde House, our Family Kits provide an opportunity for an interactive self-guided tour for the entire family. Families can borrow the colorful kits free of charge at the Program Desk in the Museum foyer and use them to learn more about visiting a museum and about different ways to view and enjoy what they see.
These Family Kits, added to augment our young visitors' museum experience, were made possible by and produced in conjunction with The Hyde's Engaging Communities Project. The Engaging Communities project was funded in part by a major grant from IMLS (Institute of Museum and Library Services) along with contributions from: DBL Foundation; Jen Hogan and Scott Murphy in loving memory of Richard T. Hogan, M.D.; AT&T; The Glens Falls Foundation; The WallWorks, CDPHP; Mr.& Mrs. Samuel P. Hoopes, Jr.; and Ray Supply.
