Opportunities for creative learning at The Hyde are available to all ages and abilities. In addition to school tours and classes for pre-school through college level students, The Hyde offers programs for families, teens, adults, community groups, assisted living and nursing home residents, and individuals of all ages with developmental and physical challenges.

The Hyde offers many exciting opportunities for children of all ages to experience the amazing world of art. From ongoing programs such as The Discovery Program, Tours for Tots, and Artfull Afternoons, to special Vacation Art Studio Classes and Art Circus, there are may ways to discover The Hyde.

Each month, The Hyde presents a new Discovery Guide designed for you and your child to use in exploring special exhibitions or Hyde House. - Tours for Tots
Moving to a new day! Beginning January 5, Tours for Tots will be every Thursday. A weekly program designed especially for children ages 3-6 (accompanied by an adult chaperone), this free program offers a guided tour of part of the permanent collection. Following the tour, children are invited to create their own works of art. Sessions center around a new theme each week. - Artfull Afternoons
Drop-in 1:30-4:30PM Wednesdays during the school year for children ages 6-12 with adult chaperone. Each week children are invited to learn about a specific artist, work of art, or style from the Museum's permanent collection. Children will explore a variety of artistic mediums as they create their own Hyde-inspired masterpiece.This program follows the Glens Falls School District schedule for vacation and snow days.
